Spinnaker introduces Skweeze™ Polypropylene Troy, Ohio – September 20, 2006 – Spinnaker Coating has introduced 2.0 mil TC Clear and 2.3 mil TC White Skweeze Polypropylene to its film line. Skweeze is a flexible, biaxially-oriented polypropylene offering enhanced squeeze performance, hot and cold moisture resistance, and a high-performance, print-receptive top coating. The facestock is printable flexo, offset, screen, and letterpress. Skweeze polypropylene should be considered for full squeeze applications such as lotion, shampoo and conditioner, liquid shower gel, cream cosmetics, and condiment bottles. The white and clear constructions are stocked and available Trimless from Troy, Ohio with B-122™F adhesive and both 40# and 44#PK liners; and from Los Angeles, California with 44#PK liner. The concern with labeling flexible packaging using typical polypropylenes is the gaps, tunnels, and puckers that develop when the product is squeezed. This facestock has been enhanced so that, with the appropriate adhesive and substrate, those issues are resolved. The result is a fresh-looking label, enjoying full, smooth contact with the bottle after repetitive squeezing.
