Spinnaker introduces SafeTE™ Synthetic tamper evident facestock Troy, Ohio – June 2, 2006 – Spinnaker Coating has released SafeTE™ Synthetic, a facestock specifically designed to show tamper evidence. This product is a polyolefin-based, clay-coated film compatible with most print methods. The material has strength properties that allow for consistent converting on press, is resistant to water and a variety of chemicals, and is approved for indirect food contact when combined with the appropriate adhesive. SafeTE Synthetic can be used for any application where proof of tampering is desired, such as pharmaceutical labels, specimen collection kits, wine bottle closures, bar code labels, security tags, and food seals. SafeTE Synthetic is featured Trimless from Troy, Ohio with BP-164, a highly aggressive, hot melt, rubber-based adhesive with excellent initial tack and ultimate adhesion. The construction has exceptional tamper evident qualities due to the combination of the delaminating characteristics of the face and the strength of the adhesive. Paired with our silicone release system, the material also demonstrates reliable dispensing. SafeTE is a trademark of Spinnaker Coating, LLC.
