Spinnaker features 40# Semi Gloss Troy, Ohio – September 20, 2006 – Spinnaker Coating is featuring 40# Semi Gloss, a bright white sheet with a smooth printing surface and exceptional gloss. It has the flexibility required for tight radius labels, to ¼”, and other difficult substrates. When combined with the appropriate adhesive, like BP-52, this facestock adheres without edge lift – especially important in pharmaceutical applications. The facestock complies with California Proposition 65, CONEG, 21 CFR 175.105 for indirect food contact, 21 CFR 176.170 for aqueous and fatty foods, 21 CFR 176.180 for dry foods, 21 CFR Part 801 for latex or natural rubber latex, and is lignin and elemental chlorine free. The sheet can be flexo and offset printed and accepts handwriting. Due to the physical attributes of the paper, 40# Semi Gloss is also a great option for produce labels, when paired with FC-1, an adhesive used for raw fruits and vegetables, because the flexibility lets the label conform to the contours and textures of the various skins.
